after about 2 years in closed beta i had planned on purchasing this game when it released this week
i feel for the europeans that have been separated by the acclaim deal but my issue was the long delay caused by this deal
so this is a no purchase for me - not a great loss but i would have liked to experience the game when people are actually playing it - closed beta players couldn't even be bothered to log into the CB forums to discuss the game let alone into the game itself (big clue there)
Ryzom - if the game is still up and running of course
if not then Darkfall - if the game is actually up and running of course
if not then i'll probably try Starquest if i can get over the antique graphics
if not then maybe............hmmm, not a lot to choose from but definitely not Spellborn
you've never been in a beta or if so have never actually read the NDA then

What I wanna know is --- why is there even a NEED for an NDA at this point?
I mean based on Tasos -- the game is feature complete, Beta ready, and ready to release before Dec 31.
So what gives?
I smell bullshit in Agon.
NDAs are there for a reason you know. Just because you would leak info doesn't mean everyone would.
i've been in quite a few BETAs and not one of their NDAs prevented you from mentioning that you were in beta - nothing else though of course - maybe gave you bragging rights?

Sounds like someone has been playing too much wow, and just needed some new content. I doubt the gameplay has changed at all, and I know they did nothing to enhance the social features or crafting, so it's still the same old game. The expansion might be pretty, but it's still just WoW.
Nope. Been playing AoC, Warhammer, Ryzom for free, etc, etc. I am not a hardcore WoW player at all.
You obviously have a level 70 toon though, right? So did they enhance the game play at all with new concepts? Did they add more social or non-combat features. Did the expand their weak excuse for a crafting and resource system? If not, it's all just visuals. The shine will wear off after you get used to it.
Name a game out there right now with a better social system, non-combat features, crafting and resource system. DONT mention one category, your example must be better than WoW's in ALL above mentioned categories. Yes WoW has some failings in those areas, but no-one can do all of those things perfectly.
and speaking of Ryzom as you did.........
How do you feel about advertising inside games?
