This is certainly true, however, you cannot change someone's IQ.  Did you notice President Bush getting much better at speaking as "prep time" went on and on for 8 years?  Uhm.....no.  For someone to be "prepped" you have to have something to work with and build from, and frankly, I don't believe there is much here except a charismatic (I don't mean she has charisma, I mean she's from the "Charismatic" denominational church..."spirit-filled modern day holy rolller" types), mother of five, who has governed a VERY small area for a very SHORT time.

I think she would be wonderful in the church's women's ministry as a leader.  As a political leader....no.

I think Ms. Palin is probably a lovely person, a great mother, a wonderful wife, sister, friend, etc....so are A LOT of women in the United States, BUT....that doesn't qualify her for political office any more than it does any of my equally marvelous female neighbors, friends, and family.

      In conclusion:

If you take someone that is literally retarded and work with them and work with them until they memorize the encyclopedia, it does not make them any less retarded.  It just makes them retarded with a lot of memorized facts, that are likely to be pretty meaningless to them.   You can teach a parrot to recite Shakespeare, but it doesn't make him a literary scholar.

    • Oh My God: they made WoW eternal in Lake Wintergrasp
    • I have only ONE thing to say in regards to this thread:

DRIVING tanks and seige weapons of all sorts (some that you can even have a few players at a TIME in - especially good to add a mage or lock rapid firing spells in with you), and flying bombers YOURSELF (with full control) trumps like MAD the lame clicking on the groud to "control" a catapult, spill hot oil, etc. BS that Warhammer had.        No comparison....at all.

The people talkin' trash about WoW's new PvP, have obviously never PLAYED it.  They're trying to judge from past battlegrounds, arena, etc., and haven't even tried the new style of WoW PvP addiction....lol.  This is NOT like the old BGs, and is NOTHING like arena.  It feels like a war, and we've learned to HATE the other side of the server for four years now, so there is plenty of vehemence behind it.  It's electrically charged all out warfare and it's IMMENSELY FUN!

I'm EVER so glad that I made the decision to continue with WoW.

I've played WoW for a few months and I've never ran to anyone who seemed like they were having maturity issues

Ive also been playing WoW for the first time recently and have been pleasantly surprised by the maturity of the majority of the people i talk to.

I've been playing WoW for 4 years, and I'm in my 40s.   I know VERY few people on my server that are under the age of 30, truthfully.  I think the whole "WoW is for children" thing....is a bit of a MYTH.  LOTS of adults play.  Not all adults are mature, but....I haven't had a lot of problems.   I'm in a predominantly adult raiding guild, I don't spend loads of time hanging out in major cities reading  trade chat.  I think those are possible ways to AVOID seeing a lot of the immaturity that undoubtedly exists.  However.....I have also noticed a DECLINE in the idiotspeak (my own word to describe leet speak) when I HAVE read trade chat.  I think some of the very very young PvP crowd that used to like to talk a lot of smack and just act like complete asses......moved to Warhammer.  I'm cool with that.

Good job the world is supposed to be massive.

How many people does WWII online have playing at once? Anyone know?

Edit: WWII online has 10k players per cluster, it's not only possible but it was done in 2001.

Uhm, no.  WoW has about 13k per server.

There ya go.  There's just a random server.  THAT one has 13,565 players.  Some have a bit more, some less.  I didn't notice any with only 3k, although...you said "4 years ago," and the statistics I quoted above are more up to date than that. :)

INCIDENTALLY....this site only tracks GUILDS.  Un-guilded players are not counted in the totals, therefore, I imagine the numbers are actually quite a bit higher than this.

I just can't comprehend it...

I have my own opinion on the "whys" of this, and I'll tell you what it is.  When someone is such a pussy, that they repeatedly pick on someone that many levels lower than they are, I think it proves that they probably SUCK at playing their character.  THIS is the ONLY way that they can feel some sense of superiority, because the other players of EQUAL level to them, are far too much of a challenge for them, and far better players.

So those people are just pathetic to me.  You should probably feel sorry for the little fella....he sucks at gaming, and his mommy probably doesn't give him enough attention.  I'm pretty sure he has a miserable life and probably hates himself for being a loser.
