I just resubbed after having last tried it in Dec 07. What a vast improvement. I am very glad I returned. The Isle is also a great way to get people introduced (or reintroduced) to the game. I have heard mixed reviews (mostly bad) on the pvp servers only because people cry about balancing and say the game isn't really made for it. Having never played the Vanguard pvp, I have no idea what i am talking about. I only know that I really enjoy the pve side.
I am a pvp player but havent tried the pvp server(s). So let me know how it goes. I am very interested to hear about your experiences. I just don't have enough time in a week to roll various characters on different types of servers.
Hey guys,
I've been lurking in the MMORPG Vanguard forums for a few weeks now. I started playing Vanguard in late 2007. It had a lot of bugs and issues.
I went in, tried the trial, and realized I missed the game. Plus, a lot of people have been saying the main areas are much more refined now.
I am in North America, it turns out I made my original guys on Helgar without realizing it was an EU server! So now I have to start over again. I was only 14th level so I guess that's not a huge deal.
I'm going to be trying Xeth. I think I'll be on my new character, Mirlacus. If I make alts I'll add them here, look me up! I need some new lil buddies in Vanguard.![]()

Click on the "forum account" link under your account, to the right of the small "subscription plan" writing. I would take a look at that. Username and forum name could maybe be different. Also, in my case, I have 2 usernames listed under LOTRO, make sure you are using the right one. That's the only thing I can think of. I don't play the game currently but hope this helps.
You should give it a shot. You can also try the trial.
I've played eq 2 quite a bit and decided to try a trial today before renewing my sub. I have a quadcore at 3.2 ghz and a nice system overall. My last core on a quadcore was at 100 percent use the entire time, never letting up, even at the lowest possible settings on a high end computer. I know they said they added multicore support with the last expansion but maybe it is only in some areas. I don't want my cpu pegged nonstop as it ignores the other cores.
I did some research and a lot of people get the same effect. I guess they are still continuing to optimize this. I'll check back in once it uses hardware a little more efficiently. I do not expect this game to use all 4 cores in a perfectly balanced away, but I also do not expect it to peg my last core at 100 percent without ever letting up, even on the lowest settings possible.
But still, a very good game. I recommend it to anyone.
You only give 2 options. My guess is 150k.
