I'm guessing you missed the announcement about Warhammer hitting 750,000 registered accounts. And note that I say "registered accounts" and not "boxes sold", which could be even higher than the number of accounts:

To say that AoC and Warhammer are in similar places is at a minimum ignorant, and at most, dishonest. I'm not sure how anyone could come to this conclusion.
AoC is going down in flames because it was an overhyped piece of garbage that even a retarded monkey could recognize as little better than a "bait and switch" situation. Funcom lied to their future player base and the effect is quite obvious. The only reason why anyone uses xfire to show AoC's decline is because AoC fanboys were using it initially to show how popular AoC was at the beginning.
Screw xfire. AoC is falling down because it's a bad game with a bad engine, developed by a shitty game director who just recently resigned from Funcom. Gee, I wonder why? I thought AoC was like a steak with a glass of wine, while WoW was like McDonalds? That arrogant prick got exactly what he deserved. He got to watch his POS game go down in flames because of his own dishonesty and disillusionment.
Whatever negative things you can say about Warhammer, you can't say that Mythic misled their playerbase. It's not the best looking game out there, nor is it the most innovative. It doesn't claim to be either like AoC attempted. It uses a combat system we are all familiar with, rather than gambling like AoC did on a combat system that demands strange hand and wrist gymnastics to accomplish.
All in all, I prefer not being lied to, and more importantly, I prefer a game that's fun and actually has content at all levels that actually works as intended. Warhammer has keep sieges too. And guess what? They work.
Sorry mister WAR fanboy, AoC had about the same numbers a month/2 after launch.
Registered accounts?! Everyone that buys the box registers for thier first "free" month of any p2p mmo.
Oh and AoC is alive, and growing again. And very fun!
Dont be a hater!
