• • For you "hardcore" full loot FFA PvP people...

  • I SHOULD love Eve, but it was just too slow for me. Combat felt kinda dull, at least PvE. I don't actually fly the ship, and i don't really aim the weapons. PvP with fleets must be fun, but i never had the time to get into that...I like to call Eve my favorite Boring Game. I always go back and give it some time, but it never really sticks. Bummer, but there you go.

  • I usually play as a female toon, though I make no effort to ACT female. I don't really like it when dudes  try to make you think they're female IRL when they're really a dude. For no other reason then...well....its just a really odd thing to do lol. I guess it makes me question their motives for such behavior, and their honesty.

     

    But my reasoning is simple. most games, you're in 3rd person, from behind, while you play. So if i have to stare as a butt for a few hours, it should at least be appealing to me.

    
    Strangely enough, I will roll a male toon if I can customize it to look like me. Now that I am getting older and a bit chubbier, that's getting harder to accomplish lol.

  • That ship is nothing but a reflection. The promo pix was taken on a bright sunny day with blue skies. you took yours during a sandstorm? Look at the ski in your pix, its brown and dirty. I'm inclined to think lucas are ferrets, all promos are to some degree...but at least give the evidence equal footing :-)

  • You'll have to make friends of peopl ewho will need your crafting services. They can escort you on gathering ventures in exchnge for some goods. I imagine that PVP in cities will have consequences (IE, the guards will kill you on site, like UO). If you own your own home, I expect you can lock yourself inside for crafting sessions

     

    Point is, PVP is everywhere in this game, as i understand it. Its always a possibility that someone might want to attack you. It simply requires a different style of play and more dependancy on the help of others. When UO was new, this was the mentality that made the game great.....it was the first time people could play the game with so many other people. So people didn't just work together becaus they had to, they did it because it was fun.

     

    Now though, people have become so independant that I can't understand why they wanna partake in an mmorpg. Maybe its only to simply show off thier Uber gear that they aquired by themselves or something. They've become a place where people come together to ignore each other, unless they're FORCEd to play together. They they've done it so seldom, they suck at it and it becomes a socially akward endevour.

     

    They game doesnt have a haven from PvP. Hopefull, if you are curious about it, you can get into the comminuty-centric means of play and find a new measure of gaming enjoyment. Crafters need body guards, body guards need gear....everyone needs each other.

  • Here is a thought, somepeople are concerned that Full looting will ruin this game. I do not quite agree.

     

    However, I DO agree that it should take a time to loot someone. Strange though, but imagine you just killed some dude, and now you're sgonna strip all his crap off of him...has anyone here tried to remove the clothes or armor fromsomeone who is complete dead weight. It must be a real chore.

     

    maybe this could act as a deterent to spiteful looting. I mean, if you really want a person sum-total possessions, you can take em...but it takes some time to get them from the body...time you could be spendinging on your next kill. etc. So maybe, people will take less items. or just ones that are useful to them, rather then taking EVERYTHING in one nanosecond just to be an ass....then throw it away.

     

    I dunno. maybe a time delay for each item removed from the corpse that you just stand there, vunerable? Opinions, just kickin random though around while i work.
