I find complaining about an *option* mind boggling. You still have core servers available. Open RvR servers are just another flavor of the game rules. Everyone complained in the past when they said they were contemplating only CORE servers (which the game was tested and built around), they add these open RvR servers and here we are with complaints about that (not saying that any of you complained about the possibility of there not being any, and I understand that you do not like the rule settings). They have released the servers names and four types of servers. More options are good in my book, not bad.

If you are worried about tome unlocks then either:

A: roll on a core server and complete them as you see fit or reroll.

      or

B: Acquire all the tome unlocks before you will be chickened in the low levels on an Open RvR server.

I see there decision on the ruleset (Open RvR) as a more hardcore server set that will allow ganking and interruption of PVE by others. I fail to see why anyone would complain about them making this option available. If you dont like it, dont play it and move on.

      Cheers!

Why then should the Skirmish area's be any different then Core skirmish area's?

    • Open rvr servers devs made a mistake.
    • The open rvr servers were created to grant more pvp for players asking for it.   But by removing bolster and chicken they have made a server with less access to fair pvp.  Open rvr server advocates wanted more area to fight over not a bigger area with more level unfairness.

By removing the heal from bolster in the skirmish area's on the open rvr server would be a step in the right direction.

I love pvp but why would I join a server that someone 20 ranks above me could just simply kill me. Or a server that at 12 I cant even take a B.0. or contribute to a keep assualt.   Without bolster pvp is nerfed.

Why should the fairness expressed on core servers and avaliblity for pvp at all levels be any different on an open rvr server?

More pvp does not mean unfair pvp. Which the current system advances.

    • Can't find a guild!
    • I am currently a guild leader of a extremely small guild, 3 players currently and are looking for more. I also spell bad (dyslexia).  We dont plan on being hardcore pve'ers but hardcore pvp.  This game will not take epics to win.    Guild members are required to play specific classes to form a specfic group layout. We may or may not be going destruction.   And the guild will not be a family guild. Personally I think family guild description is utter bullshit it is a discredit to the word family.  I got one and i don't need a fake online family.   www.maliceaforethought.net

    • Malice Aforethought, open rvr server, daoc 8 man style guild.
    • Malice Aforethought(side not chosen yet) website www.maliceaforethought.net

A WARHAMMER OPEN RvR SERVER GUILD.

This guild will by very similar to “8 mans” in Daoc or a spec group in Shadowbane.

Small scale pvp focused and specific classes needed. Looking for 9 – 19 total members but not limited.

      Guild Summary

Guild goal, to be an effective small scale pvp with an extreme focus.
Malice Aforethought is about trying our very best at winning an evenly match pvp fight.

City raids, Lore, character pixel love, Pve, gear hording will be be very small elements.

Malice aforethought is not to be considered like a typical pvp domination or "elite" guild. Our maturity level will be higher and people will not be arrogant or as sophomoric.

The focus will be on team play.

Guild leadership is very democratic with the leader of the guild being just a spokes person/ guild clerk type job.

      Recruits

Recruits need not have extensive experience or Korean professional Starcraft player like skills. Teaching and learning from our more veteran players will be apart of it. Players with strong leadership ability are welcomed equally. Sharing ideas and thoughts always encouraged and group discussion. Anyone can join but removal will be used when players do not listen or create an unwanted atmosphere ( harassment, uncooperativeness, ect. ) We believe in never turning down an a new person until we have had time to play with them. This is a very anti large guild bureaucratic system. "Easy to get in and possible easy to get removed" recruitment philosophy.

      Requirements:
      ventrilo client
      playing a special spec character
      maturity
      teamwork
      positive attitude.

      Sign up here at www.maliceaforethought.net

Guildies are expected to stay within 4 levels of the guild average. Guild required play will not be part time but not all the time either.

I think they should advertise whatever they want
It is OK so long as it is in the context of the game
This is just wrong, no ads in games...period.
