The same thing happened in SL and it’s actually illegal to gamble, run casinos ect, they were shut down by the FBI. SOE is making the money and since you pay money for these cards there can actually be a real world value attributed to these virtual items. This could be considered a form of internet gambling, whether it’s illegal is a different story, and I’m sure smed+SOE knows this. It is unethical, I will say that.

Star Wars is dead. Let it die peacefully in its sleep. The IP is old, trite, and now hopelessly squeezed dry of anything remotely interesting or entertaining.
The Star Wars fanbois need to move on to other, greener SciFi pastures. This game will only prove my point.
Shame on the big gaming companies for prolonging the inevitable.
Maybe for you it's dead, the millions of fans world wide tell a different story.

The TCG is nothing more than the Micro transactions money grab that smed talked about years ago. They don't care whether you disslike it, it's not going anywhere because there are some who do like it, and that makes them money. But I agree, I've seen very few times Obraik has gone out his way to disagree with anything the developers have ever done. I mean, there must be some aspects he dislikes. You can't like everything, or does he?
he's an armorsmith... i bet he doesnt like that there is no decay.
maybe.
He's argued against decay several times, even to the extent that he claims it hasn't affected his armor sales. I don't honestly believe the developers could do anything that he wouldn't claim is a good thing, no matter how bad it was.
oh, well, hehe... he is always busy selling armor :) I actaully need some new armor now... think i'll go look up Obraik
The question is, would he complain if they added decay back to armor? I bet he wouldn't ![]()

That "gun" looks like a hair dryer.
It's good to see some needed changes go in, but there's still some fixing up to do.
lol yeah, not a fan of the big yellow and red target face on the gun scope. It kinda reminds me of the scatter pistol, but not. I think that weapon needs a bit more work.

As a launch day person of SWG that continues to play today those screenshots you have are exactly what the game looks like, there was almost no difference between the concept art and what was put into the game.
Agree or not that is my opinion.
The buildings in the current game look a lot better, the avatar faces are not as detailed as in that screenshot, Jawas look nothing like that shot up close and the sand on Tattooine looks nothing like those static 3D mock ups. Those pictures are not actually from SWG as it exsists currently, just digital mock ups, but hey you are free to think what you want.
This is actually what people ended up seeing
