Looks like its going to be slightly less mediocre than perpetuals idea.

I'm a gamer before I am a Star Trek fan, and I think that having player crews may be a novel idea but would be boring as all hell. Having ship interiors and NPC crew walking around to liven things up would be enough for me in terms of immersion.

I agree. Having am NPC crew would work better than people manning bridge stations while in combat. In theory having players run those stations sounds like a great idea but in practice I think it would be difficult to pull off. Actually I think there could be a middle ground in between. I think it could be possible to have maybe two or three other players with you on the bridge and have the rest as NPC. Your two or three friends could pick the station they want to play and have NPC's fill in the rest. But having 5 or 6 or more people coordinate together on a bridge may prove to be cumbersome.

I'd like to see your ship interior looked at as a form of housing. Anyone on your team can come in, and you can get different things to decorate it. Would be handy for housing all of the loot you've plundered 'exploring' other planets.

At this point I can only assume they have started some sort of company self destruction sequence or the people in charge are mentally handicapped.

Prepare ship for ludicrous speed! Fasten all seatbelts, seal all entrances and exits, close all shops in the mall, cancel the three ring circus, secure all animals in the zoo!

If you wanna know when game is truly dead is once you wont see almost any updates in this forums.

Atm it seems Age of Conan are one of the most popular forums on MMORPG.COM so troll on and promote the game.

I like this post. I mean it makes sense. You can say the game is dead when people stop caring and complaining.

Then SWG must be doing wonderfully...

The fact is that it is this kind of Fanboi ignorance that we are seeing less and less of, as people start to wake up to the fact that the game isn't getting better, it just keeps getting worse.
